They were built when the proposed motor for them was having development
problems so they were delivered as "convertible" units so that if the road so
chose they could remotor them at a later date which did not end up happening.
Many of the photos in this book have been digitally enhanced to better
show off the details that readers want to see. To a reader expecting
the normal heavily shadowed B&W photos, they will be pleasantly
surprised to be able to see everything easier.
