Because of the actual USPS shipping costs, we highly recommend getting more than 1 book/title at a time. If there is no "Add-To-Cart" button on a specific title's webpage, contact us directly at:   [email protected]

Our Quick Pic Book series shows the subjects in extensive black & white
photographs which have often been digitally edited to best exhibit the details.

The KCS began replacing their older switchers in 1966 with the introduction
of the SW-1500 units. By the 1970's with many of the older units being
sold or traded in on new units, the KCS began counting on the SW-1500
class locomotives as their primary switcher in terminals and yards.

This book shows the details of these units including the variations in paint
as they were in service. Included are views of the relatively newer remote
control ones and of the units painted as Gateway Western Railroad (GWWR)
prior to it being totally absorbed into the KCS. There are a variety of accessory
locations for lights, horns, and the remote control conduits that are shown throughout plus the variations from the GWWR and of the two Howe Coal units.
