This book was something that the RR had
on hand for their management and shops in
the areas concerned. Due to the poor quality
of the originals, the 1903/1904 folios
required extensive redrawing or editing.
The drawings are essentially blueprints that a skilled employee could recognize, repair, and service equipment that was in service. The original legend data on each drawing, which often gives additional information valuable
to modelers, is included on each folio.
The post-WW2 section covers those
pieces still left on the property after
the majority of the varnish was sold to
the Mexican railroads during 1943.
The majority of these cars are still in
operation on the Durango & Silverton RR
Below are a sampling of pages from the book.
