This FULL COLOR book shows the details and weathering variations of these
cars as they exist today in museums & on the Durango & Silverton NG RR.
There are three single bladed flangers in here. OC is in Box Car Red while OD & OF are in MOW Gray. OT one of the two double bladed flangers is in MOW Gray as well.

Though originally built in the late 1880's as wooden framed flangers,
two were rebuilt in 1937 & the other in 1940 with steel frames
into their current configuration and these were used on the system.

OC & OF were assigned to Alamosa for use over Cumbres Pass but in 1956 OF went to Chama,  OD was in Montrose for use on the Ouray Branch and to Cimarron until around 1952 when it went to Durango to replace OH. OT came from the Crystal River RR in 1916 for the Lake City Branch and then to Montrose for use over Cerro Summit then in the late '40's went to Crested Butte and finally to Chama in '56 as a backup.

OC & OT are at the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden, CO
OD is at the Pioneer Museum in Gunnison, CO
OF is in use currently on the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge - Durango, CO
