There are many constructuion and detailing techniques for concrete cast arch bridges (top two photos on the front cover), truss bridges, plate girder, ballasted deck and other type bridges shown here plus how to run streetcar tracks down the center of the streets and different guardrails and other detailing features are illustrated. There are even illustrated examples of interlocking towers built into the support structure of bridges.
